Arquivo de Identidade Angolano was founded in 2017 with the main vision of creating a safe space that makes an LBTIQ leadership possible. They do this by connecting feminists and LBTIQ women to create content about gender, sex and sexuality. The group believes that create an LGBTIQ space together that is safe, friendly and feminist is an important achievement. They started out first as an office, and then an open space for LGBTIQ people, but it is now slowly becoming a shelter for people who identify as sexual minorities. “We are creating spaces where people feel empower to be themselves as well as to discuss their own issues,” they say.
