Ladies’ Voice
Created in February 2014, Ladies’ Voice is an association created to defend and promote the rights of women, in general, and women Lesbians Bisexual Transgender and Queer [LBTQ], in particular. It also aims at bringing together all the marginalized women of Togo and work for the respect of their life, community and defending the moral and professional rights and interests of these women. The association is made up exclusively of women, Lesbians, Bisexuals, Transgender and Queer identified individuals. Ladies’ Voice organizes educational talks on women’s sexual and reproductive health, capacity-building workshops on women’s rights and gender issues, and talks on gender-based violence.
One of the greatest achievements of this group has been to contribute to the schooling of 60 young girls in three rural areas of the country. In 2016, in its fight against the non-schooling of girls, Ladies’ Voice carried out activities of distribution of school kits to 60 girls from three rural areas of Togo, thanks to funding support from FRIDA.
