Niger Delta Abia Empowerment Society (NDAES) is a young female sex workers group. NDAES is a network of sex workers groups and individual sex workers engaged in advocating the human and health right of female sex worker in Niger Delta Region. Founded as a regional project in 2011, the network was officially registered with Abia State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development as an NGO in May 2013, with its head office in Aba, Nigeria. Their vision is to witness an equal opportunity society. They believe and advocate for fair treatment, respect for human and health rights that should be extended towards everyone, including female sex workers regardless of their sexual orientation.
In 2016, the group members carried out advocacy campaign for the police to discuss police abuse of female sex workers at Aba Area Command Police Headquarters in Abia State. They have also trained 20 female sexual workers on HIV prevention and human right in partnership with Federation of International Female Lawyers (FIDA) South Zone Chapter supported by Rivers State Ministry of Health -2017.
