Âurea is a feminist activist and mobilizer based in Luanda, Angola. She is the co-founder and coordinator of Ondjango Feminista, an informal collective of feminists advocating for women’s rights in Angola from a perspective of social justice, freedom and solidarity. She works as an independent social and economic development research consultant and her current interests are in providing critical feminist analysis to macroeconomic policies and how it relates to women’s social conditions. Âurea holds a Bachelor of Business Science in Economics from Monash University and a Honours in Economics (Bachelor of Commerce) from the University of Cape Town. She is fluent in Portuguese and English.
