Betty Barkha has been working with various youth and feminist based movements in the Asia-Pacific region on areas of education, peace-building, conflict resolution, climate change, resilience, sustainable and youth development. She is a graduate of MA in Sociology and BA in Sociology and Psychology, and currently working with the Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development (APWLD). Betty’s prior experience includes working with the Ecumenical Centre for Research, Education and Advocacy (ECREA), Pacific Theological College, 350.org Pacific and UNDP Pacific office in Fiji and the recruitment team of Teach for India (Hyderabad). Originally from Fiji Islands, Betty is currently based in Thailand and is fluent in English and Hindi. She tweets as @BettyBarkha.
