Brenda Formin is a passionate, diligent and innovative problem-solver with strengths in leading teams, liaising between internal and external stakeholders and ensuring outcome deliverables. She is a social entrepreneur and lobbyist with 6years’ experience in identifying resources that sustain the empowerment of marginalized persons and communities, closing the gap that exists in resource distribution between the urban rich and rural poor with a clear-cut focus on adolescent girls and young women.  Being a resilient advocate on gender equality with a proven track record of generating strategic solutions and managing operations and processing improvements using highly effective work plans, she has received several awards including the MILEAD award. Brenda has a 3years’ experience in providing technical support to two donor organizations with respect to their participatory grant making process by conducting outreach, screen applications, reviewing final results, supporting with due diligence as well as supporting grantee partner capacity strengthening. In this same light, she has provided technical support to over 50+ grassroot organizations in project design and implementation, field operations, needs assessment with specific interests in women’s economic empowerment, women’s health and rights, education, gender equality and the promotion of sexual reproductive health rights.

She is a well-endowed critical and analytic problem identifier and innovative at solutions; setting benchmarks, coping with uncertainties and delivering the desired results as well as meeting deadlines even under pressure. Brenda has an excellent ability to manage, coordinate and engage with different people whilst maintaining a healthy working environment. She is an excellent youth consultant who played a crucial role during the consultative phase for the Education Initiative Plus by 5 UN Agencies for girl child education in Africa. Being an audacious orator with the Global Fund Delegation; she has presided at key global high-level meetings in Canada (Women Deliver – Financing Facility Event 2019), USA (UNGA UHC Side event 2019), France (Global Fund Replenishment – Private Sector Event) & Kenya (Ministerial Meeting – ICPD2019) engaging public – private sector, civil society and international organization partnerships for sexual reproductive health financing. She has also presided at key convenes like the Virtual AIDS2020 Conference and UN conferences. Brenda holds several resource certificates from YALI Learn, the British Council, and IBMI Berlin Germany. She is a member of the Commonwealth Youth & Gender Equality Network and a Global Advisory Council Member at FRIDA Fund where her advocacy work is excessively pivotal. She majors in International Relations at the United States International University and believes in a world where inequalities can be bridged. 

She speaks English, intermediate French and basic Swahili, Pidgin and Creole.
