Spirit Companion: Otter

Favorite Quote: ‘”Feminism is a collective adventure, for women, for men, and for others. A revolution, well underway. A vision of the world, a choice. It’s not about pitting women’s little advantages against men’s little gains, but about blowing everything up.” – Virginie Despentes, King Kong Theory

Eva is a social research consultant with a focus on gender issues. After a MA in Communication studies and a MSc in Social Sciences of the Internet, she joined an insight consultancy specializing in research and strategy, working between London and Shanghai. She then moved to Mexico City and became an independent consultant. There, she developed an interest in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning working with women’s funds and other non-profit organizations. She is passionate about embedding and deepening feminist and participatory thinking and practice of MEL across stakeholders, from donors to grassroot organizations. She is currently trying to find ways to cultivate community building locally and volunteers at a homeless charity shop in London.

In her free time she reads feminist authors. She loves pop culture that features indomitable heroines and its power to shape cultural change, and loves food passionately (especially Sichuan dishes, Oaxacan cuisine and Roman cacio e pepe!). She is always thinking of her next travels, and has an unhealthy obsession with dogs.
