Vidushi is a south asian young feminist artivist, illustrator and Visual designer. Her work revolves around gender justice, south asian identity, access and right based content.
She is a post graduate in design with a major in Animation and Illustrations from IDC, IIT Bombay, She was awarded full scholarship for her graduation project by NTU Singapore where she worked on a project based on animation and gesture technology to create progressive content for kids and also have received multiple international awards for her animation short.
She started working as a full time artivist in 2019 after quitting her comfortable 9-5 jobs to find meaning in her work, since then she has been a communication and design consultant at multiple women rights organisation including but not limited to – The Association for Women’s Rights in Development (AWID), Plan International, Frida Fund, Urgent Action Fund Asia and Pacific, Urgent Action Sister funds, GAGGA, Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy (Berlin); Oxfam International (Powershift Project) and other prominent women rights organisation world wide.
Vidushi is an unapologetic feminist, fiercely loves her work and constantly educates herself on the subject. She is extremely interested in exploring the intersection of art and humanities. When she is not illustrating, you will find her reading stories and lived experiences of women and gender non conforming folks.
She works from her quaint studio in Jaipur, India with her team that includes disability right activists, women of colour and queer folks passionate about making the world an inclusive place – one image at a time. She speaks Hindi and English.
