Aya Chebbi is an award winning Pan-African feminist activist and renowned blogger. She is the co-founder of the Voice of Women Initiative (feminist collective) and founding Chair of Afrika YouthMovement, building one of Africa’s largest movements fighting for equality, peace and social justice. She sits on the Board of Directors of CIVICUS World Alliance for Citizen Participation and the International Steering Group of UNOY Peacebuilders. In 2012/13, she was a Fulbright Scholar at Georgia Southern University and 2015/16 Mo Ibrahim Scholar pursued her masters in African Studies at SOAS, University of London. Aya is fluent in Arabic, French, English and basic Swahili and tweets as @aya_chebbi.
