Favourite Quote: “You either walk inside your story and own it or you stand outside your story and hustle for your worthiness.” – Brené Brown

Originally from Mafahlaneng Tweeling, Jessica is based out of Johannesberg, South Africa. She is interested in the organizational development of grassroots feminist organizations and has, for many years, worked at Afrika Tikkun, an NPO that works on child and youth development in South African townships. She has also worked for a a queer human rights visual media organization before joining FRIDA. Jessica also sat on the board of Forum for the Empowerment of Women. She has studied bookkeeping and accounting at Boston Business College and University of South Africa. In her spare time, Jessica likes asking and trying to respond to existential questions and hanging out with Tshepo Gamede– “the most awesome person I know who also happens to be my brother.” She is fluent in English, Afrikaans, Sesotho and Isizulu.
