Towfika Sultana has a Bachelors in Economics from Asian University for Women and is based out of Bangladesh. Her professional career started early through several internships during her undergrad studies in different countries- two in Bangladesh, one in Cambodia, one in India, and one in South Korea. She has been associated with several research projects focused on urban development, election violence, gender dynamics in Muslim families, and corruption in Bangladesh. After completing her Bachelors, she joined Sarus, a youth leadership and peacebuilding organization, as the Bangladesh-Myanmar Programs Director. She conducted several peace leadership programs and initiatives focusing on non-violent communication, adaptive leadership, conflict resolution and youth empowerment. In her spare time, she likes to paint and doodle, watch thriller series, use social media, and spend time with family and friends.
