Ingrid Benedict
Ingrid Benedict is a a first generation immigrant from Nicaragua. Her family moved to the United States in the early 1980s. Ingrid’s family, friends and communities are a core part of what keeps her grounded, focused, and joyful. She has been able to do work that is both meaningful and transformative, and began working in social justice community and continued to work in the field of youth and student activism after that. Since then, Ingrid has held various positions that have only deepened her commitment to capacity strengthening and intersectional human rights and racial justice community building and social transformation. Ingrid is currently the Director of a family foundation and working with movement leaders, organizations and grantmakers in the U.S. and globally on social transformation. She is also a Board member of BOLD (Black Organizing for Leadership and Dignity), the Soldaire Network and United We Dream.
