This strategy was developed to support FRIDA’s journey to better resourcing and engaging with trans-led and centered groups, its own grantee partners but also the wider trans movement. Through it, we hope not only to improve the way that we, as a funder, show up for the trans movement, but also to inspire other funders in their processes.
This policy concretizes the organization’s non-tolerance for fraud and other similar malpractices and outlines the details of procedures surrounding incident reporting, verification, accountability mechanisms, resolution, and protection from retaliation for reporters. It affirms FRIDA’s collective commitment to fostering a workplace environment with sound levels of due diligence in financial practices where all employees can feel protected in reporting instances of internal malpractice.
