What is the job?

The Communications Associate will play a strategic role in key aspects of FRIDA’s communications work to ensure the story of FRIDA and the young feminist movement is told in a powerful, engaging, and consistent way. The Associate supports the coordination and implementation of the communication activities in different parts of FRIDA’s work.

The Association will be supervised by a Co-Director and will work closely with the Resource Mobilization Officer (currently being recruited) and members of the Programs Team. As a small organization, the Officer will work closely with all staff members.

Where would it be located?

The location of the position is flexible and will be negotiated for where the applicant is legally able to reside.

Who should apply?

The position is perfect for a young feminist who has experience and passion for communications, especially for social justice issues/groups/organizations, having run their own campaigns or initiatives that inspire action.  The candidate must speak English, and another FRIDA language is highly desired (French, Spanish, Russian, or Arabic).

The ideal candidate is a great story teller, and is passionate about women’s rights on regional and international levels. We are a small team working all around the world and FRIDA is still developing as an organization – self-initiative, creativity, patience, flexibility, and a good sense of humor are essential!

Young women and transgender youth under the age of 28 are strongly encouraged to apply.
