Barbora Němcová is a young feminist from the Czech Republic with passion for the use of communication tools and social media for social good. While living, working and studying in countries such as South Africa, Ghana or Mexico, Barbora has become increasingly aware of the plight of women around the world and the need to join in the fight for women’s rights and equality. During her studies, she worked with the Society for Women and AIDS in Africa in Ghana researching support for AIDS orphans and HIV positive women. After finishing her Masters in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh, USA, Barbora worked as communications consultant first for USAID’s Maternal and Child Health Integrated Program in Washington, D.C., and then for International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center in Mexico. Currently based in New York City, she is excited to be given the opportunity to contribute her skills, passion, and experience to FRIDA’s mission.
