November’s photo of the month is a happy, sunny and cheerful picture shared with us by Copper Rose Zambia, one of our grantee partners from the sub saharan Africa region. The young feminist group, mostly consisting of young girls, took to the streets last month and organized their Candid Pride Campaign to raise awareness on menstrual hygiene and fundraise as part of their ‘Keep a Girl in School by Supporting Menstrual Hygiene Campaign’. The entire team was joined by well wishers and volunteers as they walked a 10 kilometre (6.4 mile) stretch from Addis Ababa Round About up to East Park Mall in Lusaka. The proceeds from this fundraising drive will be used to do further outreach with girls in Makululu area-kabwe, an area that the group is now entering to further it work around menstrual health awareness.
